Help me oppo, you're my only hope..
We can buy a 1985 Subaru Leone 1.6, for really cheap.
This car has been online for a long time (months) on a not really popular second hand site, and we've contacted him a few times.
The car is really cheap (last online for 650) and the guy just sent me an email that he would would really take any offer.
Only possible(?) problems:
The car was imported in 2009 ( I can tell by the new style license plate).
The car has a questionable history
The cars two-year safety inspection is in December.
He may have changed the bougie cables (don't know the english word)
How reliable are these cars?
What do you think?
Also, what should I look out for on these cars and cars of this age?

For 650 or less you can't really go wrong. I'd do it, or at least check it out if you haven't already.

I think that bougie is French for "spark plug"', so bougie cables would be spark plug cables/spark plug wires, ignition cables/wires, or high tension cables/wires.
Anyway, for $650, you can't really expect perfection. Buy it if you're prepared to expect repairs within a year, grab it. I'd pass on it if it's horribly rusty, or needs major parts like tires, battery, alternator, fuel pump, radiator, etc.
